About the Com XLR Breakout Cable
The Com XLR Breakout Cable is designed to take a 4-pin com headset output, output the audio on the XLR, provide a XLR input for a dynamic microphone, and have a connection for a 4-pin headset all in one cable.
Utilizing all Neutrik black connectors, this small cable will help you interface with your Clear-Com pack in the best way.
Tested with Clear-Com FreeSpeak, HelixNet and analog partyline systems, getting com communication audio into your console has never been easier.
The XLR output level is controlled on the com pack by adjusting the volume up or down. The XLR input is suited for a dynamic microphone and utilizes the com pack’s built-in microphone preamp.
Pair with your favorite dynamic microphone or even add in a switched microphone for the most flexibility.
The Com XLR Breakout Cable also features a 4-pin XLR male for attaching a standard com headset in case you still need to use a headset. The XLR input cable is shared with the headset mic, so keep this in mind when using.
If using a talkback microphone output from an audio console, it is suggested to use an isolation transformer and lower the level to mic level (or use an inline pad) for interfacing with the com pack.
